Here are some questions to help you get started using the Profiles API: How do I get my profile? Before you get your profile you must obtain a valid session using the Sessions API. This way you get an authentication ticket (who-ticket) which you can use when making a request to the Profiles API using the v1/profiles/me endpoint. What is the difference between a profile follower and a profile following? Follower – Is someone that follows your profile to find out what outcomes you are tipping. Following – Is someone you are following. This allows you to view what they are tipping. What does the communities query parameter mean? A profile can be used to display a public username as an alternative to the customer private name (as is with the Accounts API). Additional information relating to Communities can be returned if the communities query parameter is set to Y. The additional information is the user’s active comments (tips) and the number of winning comments (tips) a profile currently has. What does flagging a profile mean? A profile can be flagged by any user (except themselves). This will raise the profile to the William Hill Moderation team for investigation. For example a customer might be using an inappropriate photograph (say advertising a competitor) or their profile content could contain bad or offensive language. If the moderator is unable to resolve the issue with the customer then the profile will be set as inactive and will no longer appear in the responses.
